The Florida Spotted Gar is a freshwater fish that reaches 4ft in length. Due to their very large size, you will need to house them in an aquarium of around 500 gallons. When your gar is younger, you can keep them in a smaller aquarium, but you must make sure your gar has room to grow and that you upgrade your tank to the proper size when needed.
