OSU Medicine is pleased to welcome Jake Checketts, DO, an ASES fellowship-trained orthopedic shoulder and elbow surgeon, to our Orthopedics & Sports Medicine team.

Dr. Checketts completed medical school and orthopedic residency at Oklahoma State University before completing an ASES-accredited Shoulder and Elbow Fellowship at the University of Washington. His practice focuses exclusively on shoulder and elbow conditions, including primary and revision shoulder arthroplasty, rotator cuff disease, instability, fractures and complex shoulder reconstruction.

With nearly 100 peer-reviewed publications and an active role in orthopedic education and research, Dr. Checketts combines evidence-based care with advanced surgical techniques. He is also among the first surgeons in Oklahoma preparing to offer robotic-assisted and muscle-sparing shoulder replacement procedures.

Dr. Checketts will begin seeing patients on August 10. He welcomes referrals for patients with shoulder and elbow conditions and is committed to timely communication and collaborative care with referring providers.
