Cardiovascular Medicine

Dr. Wilkett is board certified in cardiology by the American College of Osteopathic Internists and cares for patients at OSU Cardiovascular Medicine in Tulsa. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency and general cardiology fellowship at OSU Medical Center. Dr. Wilkett is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists and the American College of Cardiology. His clinical interests include the diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease, heart failure, atrial fibrillation and other cardiac arrhythmias, cardiovascular disease prevention, and the management of patients with complex cardiovascular conditions. Dr. Wilkett is a Clinical Professor of Medicine, Cardiology at Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences and has served in numerous academic and clinical leadership roles, including Chief of Cardiology at OSU Medical Center, Chair of the Cardiology Division of the Department of Internal Medicine. His research has included cardiovascular clinical trials and investigator-initiated studies focused on heart failure, atrial fibrillation, cardiovascular disease prevention and outcomes, and cardiovascular health in underserved populations. He spends most of his clinical time in outreach clinics across eastern Oklahoma including the Veterans Health Administration as well as the Indian Health Service and Tribal Health Programs. He has also contributed extensively to medical education through cardiovascular lectures, clinical teaching, board review and continuing medical education programs.
