FC Tulsa
OSU Medicine is the official sports medicine partner for FC Tulsa, Oklahoma’s professional soccer club.
The exclusive agreement creates a relationship whereby OSU sports medicine physicians and athletic trainers work closely with FC Tulsa performance coaches to reduce and treat injury, increase performance and consult on nutrition plans. The agreement also provides OSU athletic training students with educational opportunities and a pathway to potential full-time positions with FC Tulsa.
OSU Medicine provides access to elite medical care for FC Tulsa athletes. This allows for a quick triage to determine any imagining needed for diagnosis and treatment. This facilitates FC Tulsa athletes to return to the pitch as quickly and safely as possible.
Collaborative care is provided by Dr. James Cornwell, Dr. Chad Hanson and other health professionals with OSU Medicine.
Tulsa Oilers
OSU Medicine’s partnership with Tulsa Oilers Hockey and Tulsa Oilers Football brings together expert sports medicine care and hands-on education for the next generation of health care professionals. Through the partnership, OSU Sports Medicine physicians and athletic trainers work alongside the both teams to support injury prevention, treatment, rehabilitation and player performance. The relationship also provides OSU Center for Health Sciences athletic training students with valuable real-world experience working with professional athletes. From the training room to game day, the partnership reflects OSU Medicine’s commitment to providing high-quality care while preparing future sports medicine professionals for careers in athletic health and performance.
