Get to Know Dr. Heather Rector
Dr. Rector is proud to care for children in the Tulsa area, where her journey in medicine first began. Having grown up locally and completed both medical school and residency through OSU, she felt a strong connection to continue serving the community she calls home.
Inspired by a lifelong love of working with children, Dr. Rector knew early on that pediatrics was her calling. Today, she brings that passion into every visit—whether she’s caring for newborns, guiding families through well-child checkups, or treating common childhood illnesses like colds, ear infections, allergies, and ADHD.
Her approach to care is simple but meaningful: treat every patient the way she would want her own children treated. She prioritizes listening closely to parents’ concerns and ensuring families leave each visit feeling heard, supported, and informed. By helping parents understand what’s normal and when to be concerned, she builds strong partnerships focused on raising happy, healthy children.
With 18 years of experience and board certification in pediatrics, Dr. Rector is also deeply committed to shaping the next generation of physicians, regularly teaching residents and medical students.
Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters, walking her three dogs, and watching sports—especially college softball and the OKC Thunder.
Her guiding philosophy is one many families will recognize: “Do unto others as you would have done unto you.”
