OSU Medicine Named Official Sports Medicine Provider for OSU Athletics

As a new season of student-athletics gets underway, OSU Medicine is proud to announce a new partnership with OSU Athletics as its Official Sports Medicine Provider.

The partnership brings together OSU Medicine’s elite sports medicine and orthopedic team to support more than 500 OSU student-athletes in 14 different sports. Care includes injury prevention, diagnosis and treatment, surgery and rehabilitation, with healthcare experts working closely with coaches and athletic trainers throughout the season.

There are more than 17 healthcare professionals caring for OSU student-athletes in the areas of orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, athletic training, behavioral medicine, emergency medicine, family medicine, concussion management, physical therapy, and other areas of care.

While this partnership supports OSU student-athletes at the highest level of collegiate competition, sports medicine care is also available to athletes and active individuals throughout the Tulsa area. OSU Medicine provides care for everything from sports physicals and common injuries to more complex orthopedic conditions that may require surgery.

For patients, the partnership is another reflection of the expertise available through OSU Medicine. Some of our physicians care directly for OSU athletes, while others serve patients through our broader network of clinics and specialties.
