What attracted you to OSU Medicine and practicing in Tulsa?
I love teaching residents, medical students and physician assistant students. Being at OSU allows me to help train the future health care workforce, which is one of the most rewarding parts of my career.
What inspired you to become a physician and choose internal medicine?
I started in health care right after high school as a radiology technologist, and I’ve been in medicine in various roles ever since. I’ve always felt a strong calling to help people during some of their most difficult moments. Internal medicine allows me to care for patients with complex medical needs, which aligns perfectly with my passion for comprehensive, thoughtful care.
How would you describe your approach to patient care?
Health care is a team effort. Patients, physicians, nurses and allied health professionals all play a role. My job is to lead, educate and support the team while keeping the patient’s best interests at the center of every decision. Patient first, always.
What makes your practice style unique?
I want patients to be active participants in their care. I focus on education and shared decision-making so patients understand their options and feel confident in their choices.
Is there a clinical experience that shaped your approach to medicine?
I’ve had the privilege of working with incredible mentors and colleagues throughout my training and career, particularly within OSU Internal Medicine. Their dedication to teaching and patient care has had a lasting impact on how I practice.
What is one piece of health advice you wish all patients would follow?
Have a voice in your health care. Ask questions, share your goals, and be part of the decision-making process.
What excites you most about serving your community?
I’m passionate about improving access to care in rural and underserved communities. Through virtual care, we’re reaching patients who might otherwise have limited access to specialty services.
If you’re new to the area, what are you looking forward to exploring in Tulsa or Oklahoma?
The food scene! I love trying new restaurants and exploring the variety Tulsa has to offer.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I enjoy gardening, working in the yard and woodworking—it’s a great way to relax and be creative.
Do you have a favorite quote or personal motto?
“The Man in the Arena” by Theodore Roosevelt, it’s a great reminder to be courageous and engaged in the work you care about.
