Q&A With Aubree

How would you describe your approach to caring for patients?
I believe in a patient-centered, compassionate approach that ensures every patient feels seen and heard. My goal is to partner with patients as they work toward their health goals. Through preventive care, early intervention, and shared decision-making, I strive to empower patients with knowledge while delivering high-quality care that supports long-term health and well-being.

What are the most common conditions or concerns you treat?
I focus on preventive care, women’s health, and the management of chronic conditions, providing care for patients across the lifespan.

What inspired you to pursue a career in healthcare?
I’ve always enjoyed caring for others and have been fascinated by medical science. Many members of my family work in public service roles, and I knew I wanted to help care for my community as well. Nursing allowed me to learn how to care for people holistically and advocate for their needs. While working in a hospital setting as an RN, I realized I wanted to help patients reach their health goals and prevent hospitalizations whenever possible. That inspired me to pursue my nurse practitioner degree, and I’m excited to begin this next chapter of my career.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening, attending church, cooking, working on DIY home projects, and crafting.

Favorite hobby or weekend activity?
Spending time with family and friends.

Coffee or tea?
Tea, for sure.

Where did you complete your education and training?
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Oklahoma and completed my Family Nurse Practitioner program at Maryville University.

How long have you been practicing?
I practiced as a registered nurse for eight years before becoming a nurse practitioner, and I’m excited to begin this next phase of my career.

How do you incorporate evidence-based practices into your care model?
I rely on established clinical guidelines and evidence-based practices while also considering each patient’s values and preferences. I stay current by maintaining certifications and completing continuing education to ensure the care I provide reflects the latest clinical guidance.
